Vamos a Bolivia!

Yep – tomorrow we are going to Bolivia (this post is in the ‘real-time’ section……(of course we are still in Chile waiting for CC’s mum to arrive in ‘blog time’)….

So it’s a new stage of the journey leaving ‘the south’ behind – we have finished our time in Chile and Argentina, and this will be the first new country since we arrived in Uruguay seven months ago…

We are currently in Arica, and have a bus to La Paz at 7am tomorrow – so it’s another high-altitude journey – but I guess technically we are not going to ‘cross the Andes’, as La Paz is on the altiplano at 3750m – so we are more like ‘going to the Andes’, as we don’t come down the other side for quite a while….

So it’s bye-bye Chile – it’s been great!
