Vamos a Nicaragua!

Yes, another border crossing – they come fast in Central America… today, hopefully we will be going to Nicaragua after 23 nights spent in Costa Rica.

For a while it looked like we wouldn’t be going to Nicaragua, as there has been about a year’s worth of disruption – with roads closed, protests, and various other problems. It seems to have died down a bit now, so off we go….

Our crossing will be from Liberia, Costa Rica to Granada, Nicaragua – in theory it is a ‘ourney of three buses which will take around 6 hours including the border crossing…. yes, we miss the days of ‘simple’ border crossings in South America!
