Cerro Wank

Yes it’s not something that I made up. Yes it’s in Argentina. No, I don’t know how it got that name. Yes, it is unfortunate….

Cerro Wank is in La Cumbrecita – a day trip from our stay in Santa Rosa de Calamuchita. La Cumbrecita is famous in Argentina for being just like an alpine village in Germany or Switzerland. Well, I wasn’t convinced – it should be famous for being an overrun expensive Argentine holiday resort with buildings that have been made to look like they are from Germany or Switzerland.. I guess that doesn’t sound quite as good on the tourist blurb.

However the area around is quite scenic, and if you go up Cerro Wank you get good views and it’s fairly peaceful (at least it is at the moment in the off-season)
