Mate in Bolivia

The further north that you head in South America, the harder it is to find mate in the supermarkets. But being determined mate drinkers, we went on the hunt for it in Bolivia.

There was not a lot of choice – but it was available (in some shops) – and the first time that we found it, we found Taragui – the brand we had been able to drink in Chile.

So this was a good result! 🙂 But then, we found another brand that we had never even seen before – called ‘Buen Dia’ – still from Argentina. This brand turned out to be even better! 🙂 🙂 This brand we could also find in La Paz in the market area – so we were all set! We had secured our mate supply for Bolivia! 🙂
